CIC Pop‑Up Think Tank: Reimagining CTF
The DC Corrections Information Council (CIC) is facilitating its next CIC Pop‑Up Think Tank, entitled "Reimagining CTF," on Thursday, July 14, 2016, from 6 pm to 8 pm. The DC Department of Corrections (DOC) will assume operations of the Correctional Treatment Facility (CTF) on February 1, 2017.

The DC Corrections Information Council held its first CIC Pop-Up Think Tank on 4/26/16, entitled: “Engaging Families for Successful Reentry.” Thirty-three attendees were actively engaged in providing information and ideas to improve family engagement with loved ones who are incarcerated far from home. The CIC program analysts have produced a summary of this event, here.
CIC January Open Meeting 2020
The next CIC Open Meeting will occur on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 6pm. The location will be 1400 I Street NW, Suite 400, Washington, DC 20005. The last 30 minutes of the meeting will be closed to discuss a board related matter.

CIC Releases Fiscal Year 2018 Annual Report

The District of Columbia Corrections Information Council (CIC) today released its Fiscal Year 2018 Annual Report. The report includes an overview of the facilities inspected, concerns received for both DOC and BOP facilities, and events for the previous fiscal year.

CIC to Inspect FCI McDowell

As part of its mandate to inspect Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) facilities housing incarcerated DC residents, the DC Corrections Information Council (CIC) will conduct an onsite inspection of FCI McDowell, a medium-security men’s prison in Welch, West Virginia, on December 12-13, 2018. FCI McDowell currently houses 122 men who were convicted of DC Criminal Code offenses. The CIC urges you to contact the CIC if you have any information you would like to share regarding this facility.
