What Does the CIC Do?

The CIC is mandated to inspect and monitor the correctional facilities where DC residents are incarcerated, including DC Department of Corrections facilities in the District and over 100 Federal Bureau of Prisons facilities across the country.

CIC Pop-Up Think Tank: Engaging Families for Successful Reentry

In commemoration of the Department of Justice designating April 24-30, 2016, National Reentry Week, the Corrections Information Council is holding the CIC Pop-Up Think Tank: Engaging Families for Successful Reentry after our next Open Meeting on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 5 pm. The think tank will start with brief introductions of group facilitators who are family members of incarcerated DC residents and experts in the field of family engagement.
