Details:

In commemoration of the Department of Justice designating April 24-30, 2016, National Reentry Week, the Corrections Information Council is holding the CIC Pop-Up Think Tank: Engaging Families for Successful Reentry after our next Open Meeting on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 5 pm. The think tank will start with brief introductions of group facilitators who are family members of incarcerated DC residents and experts in the field of family engagement. Then attendees will break into 4-6 working groups to address the importance of family engagement to successful reentry. Our goal is to use this time to develop strategies to improve family engagement and make realistic recommendations for policymakers, corrections, inmates, and their loved ones. This is the first of many CIC Pop-Up Think Tanks we will hold on issues affecting incarcerated DC residents.
