Donald Isaac, Sr., Executive Director

Donald L. Isaac, Sr, is the Executive Director of the Correction Information Council (CIC). He is responsible for the day to day operations of the agency, which includes providing oversight of the monitoring, inspecting, and reporting functions of the organization.

Prior to joining the CIC, Director Isaac worked as the Executive Director for the East of the River Clergy Police Community Partnership (ERCPCP). He chaired the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) Faith Advisory Council, which coordinated the mentoring, video conferencing, and employment for District residents in the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and local institutions. Director Isaac also worked with CSOSA, BOP, and community partners to develop reentry vendor fairs in the community and Rivers Correctional Institution. He also coordinated the delivery of services to persons within DC Correctional Facility (DC Jail), the Correctional Treatment Facility (CTF), Hope Village Halfway House, and community-based entities. At ERCPCP, he also coordinated work as the Lead Entity for CSOSA and DYRS in order to provide services for court-involved youth and adults in Wards 7 and 8.

Director Isaac has also served as a Senior Auditor for the Office of the DC Auditor, Financial Officer for the Council of the District of Columbia, Chair for the Mayor’s Interfaith Council, and Director for the Office of Religious Affairs. He is also a member of Leadership Washington.

Director Isaac obtained his Bachelors of Science in Urban Planning from the University of the District of Columbia, and he received his M.P.A. from Southeastern University. He also attended the Washington Baptist Seminary and Howard University School of Divinity for Theological Studies.
