Princess K. Whitaker Taylor, Program Analyst

Princess Taylor is a Program Analyst with the Corrections Information Council (CIC). Preceding her work with CIC, Princess’s dedication to serving and empowering undervalued communities in the District of Columbia has been evident since 1991. A Restorative Justice Practitioner since 1995, operating with sound ethics and morality, she is a principled leader who executes competence and character simultaneously. Philosophically, she believes a spirit is healed through nurturing.

Princess is a lifelong learner with a consecrated investment in humanity. With an innate belief that community engagement empowers the lives of others, embodies the spirit of hope, and restores and enriches lives in totality, she founded XLNLIFE, LLC in 2011 to bolster the development of human care practices of grassroots community programs, non-profit organizations, academic environments, corporate companies, and government agencies. She has supported programmatic infrastructure for more than 15 non-profits in the District by providing professional development, technical writing, data management, and analysis.  She also developed an effective family engagement model for justice-involved families and community members, Anchored in Strength™, and facilitated it for the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS) for 13 years.

With her unrelenting work ethic and professional expertise throughout the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, she enhances the mission of the CIC through her experience advocating for justice-involved youth and adults - and the successful reintegration of returning citizens.

Princess obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina, and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Howard University in Washington, D.C.
