Maurice Cotton is the Administrative Assistant at the CIC. Maurice was born and raised in Washington D.C., and he began his career by working at the volunteer office in the Wilson Building for former Councilmember Harry Thomas Sr.. Maurice then held the Administrative Assistant position at Jones Day law firm, where he was praised for his work ethic, and trained multiple Administrative Assistants. He also worked with adopted children at Progressive Life Center in the human resources department as an Administrative Assistant. Maurice also took classes via Telephone Doctor to continue to build his administrative skills.

Maurice has over 25 years of experience in administrative work and enjoys helping people in the D.C. area.
