USP Pollock Inspection Report - July 11, 2019

The District of Columbia Corrections Information Council (CIC) conducted an inspection of USP Pollock on December 14-15, 2017. USP Pollock is a high security facility located in Pollock, LA, approximately 1,161 miles from DC. As of December 2017, there were 48 men convicted of DC Criminal Code offenses at USP Pollock.

The inspection report explores areas of concern within the facility regarding the water quality, mail delays, frequent lockdowns, and educational and programming opportunities; as well as areas of innovation, such as the Health Services department. The BOP responded to our report on June 18, 2019, which they received on February 19, 2019. The response directly addresses CIC recommendations. A copy of their response is below.
