FCI Cumberland is a Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) medium security, men-only prison located in Cumberland, MD.  As of August 31, 2017, FCI Cumberland held 208 men convicted of DC Criminal Code offenses. 

The CIC conducted an onsite inspection of FCI Cumberland on December 5, 2014 and visited the Hope House Summer Camp on August 11, 2015.  In April 2017, the CIC mailed surveys to DC inmates at FCI Cumberland, and relevant sections of the report were updated to include comments and concerns from the individuals who responded. The BOP Response is published in toto along with the CIC report, here.
