Low Water Pressure at CTF

On Sunday night the CIC received reports from men detained in the Correctional Treatment Facility (CTF) that they did not have access to running water to shower or flush toilets. The CIC reached out to DC Department of Corrections (DOC) who informed the CIC that CTF is experiencing low water pressure. While they are working on repairs, they are also moving detained persons from more-affected areas to less-affected areas of the facility. They said that there is access to water for showers, toilet flushing, and drinking. Social visitation and legal visitation at CTF have not been affected by this issue. Also, Central Detention Facility (CDF or "DC Jail") has not been affected.

If you have any additional or new information report regarding the water pressure at CTF, please let the CIC know by calling at 202-478-9211 or emailing to [email protected].
