District of Columbia Corrections Information Council
April 2015 Open Meeting
The DC Corrections Information Council (CIC) is mandated by the US Congress and the DC Council to inspect, monitor, and report on the conditions of confinement at facilities where DC residents are incarcerated. Through its mandate, the CIC collects information from many different sources, including the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the DC Department of Corrections, facility inspections, communication with incarcerated DC residents, and community outreach.
